4th of July

This year we celebrated the 4th of July at home, rather than at the lake.  The holiday fell in the middle of the week, so we took the opportunity to spend it with friends.  We were invited to a firework party at a church friends' house, which had a great view of the Lees Summit city firework show!  We enjoyed hanging out with friends and eating homemade ice cream.

Hannah loved "babysitting" Jackson and played with him the majority of the night.  It was great!

Jackson was not scared of the fireworks!  In fact, after each one went off, he said "Whoa!"  I should have known loud noises would not scare him off :)

California trip- June 2012

Lily and Ethan

Last month, Lily, Jackson & I traveled to CA for a 10 day trip.  We got to meet cousins Charlie & Ethan for the first time! We had a fun time celebrating them with a baby shower, and enjoyed visiting with Great Grandma & Great Grandpa from England.  Enjoy some captioned pictures of our trip!

Lily was "Skyping" with friend Madison while her Grandma Karen was at the shower.  Lily & Madison met for the first time during our December trip and became fast friends.  We are hoping to see her in July.

Adventure Oasis 2012

We have had a couple of trips to the waterpark, Adventure Oasis, this summer already.  The kids have loved it!  Enjoy some pictures of their time with cousins Colin, Maria, Jacob, Maryanna, Powell, Lola, & Christopher.  And their mommies- cousins Hilary and Karen, and Aunt Carissa!

Photo shoot with hats
