Lily's Kindergarten Graduation

Yesterday was Lily's Kindergarten Graduation ceremony.  It was such a cute ceremony.  They started with a slideshow of the year's events and then two (of the four) Kindergarten classes marched in wearing their cap & gowns.  They all just look so proud and grown-up!  Lily, being true to self, found us and then couldn't keep her eyes off the camera!  She was born to be on stage!
The ceremony was held at 2:30pm in the afternoon, so I expected that not many family would be able to attend.  However, Aunt Carissa and Lola came to the ceremony which was so sweet and appreciated!  I kept it a secret from Lily so she would be surprised.  And she was!  Lily and Lola are best friends and enjoy playing together every chance they get.  It was great to have them both there to celebrate with us.
After the ceremony, we went back to Lily's classroom for cookies and drinks.  What a fun way to end her Kindergarten year!

AWANA Awards Night 5/8/13 at OneTrueMedia.com

Funny to note that during her Old Testament song, some of the kids lost track of the tune so therefore it turned into a "round". We got a kick out of that.
Also, her Sparks song is blurry because I zoomed in too far with my camera and couldn't get it to adjust back to normal :(
Nonetheless....enjoy!

AWANA Awards Night 2013

Last night was Lily's AWANA Awards ceremony for her first year as a Spark!  Lily looks forward to AWANA every Wednesday and we love hearing all she has learned.  Last year, when she was a "Cubbie", they memorized a Bible verse a week.  As a Spark, she was able to move at her own pace.  Lily loved this new freedom and memorized multiple verses each week!  Because of this, she finished her "Year 1" book over a month early!  She also learned to recite all of the books of the Old Testament (along with the New Testament that she learned in "Cubbies") by memory.  We were impressed that she could pronounce half of the books, let alone memorize them! :)
Lily, we are so proud of your diligence and love for learning the Word of God.  We hope that all you have learned stays hidden in your heart as you grow and continue to seek the Lord.
