It has been a while since I recorded Jackson's latest words and phrases. As I have mentioned before, he is a talker! It's a rare moment when there is silence in the car while driving. If so, it usually means he is eating or asleep. He is always either asking questions or describing something he sees out the window. We are so humored by his personality and he will do almost anything for a good laugh. When reading these, picture a 3-year-old with a lisp :)
Justin and I were sitting in the living room while Jackson had entered the bathroom to take care of business.
Minutes later, I hear him call my name from the bathroom...."Mooooooom!"
"Yes Jackson?"
"I need you to do me a favor."
"What's that, Jackson?"
"It's called....come and wipe me!"
(Justin and I were almost in tears over this one)
One of Jackson's new favorite words is "Sheesh!" (something I say often). Except, with his lisp, it always comes out "Theeth!" This usually comes out with a frustrating tone after he has failed to communicate something to me. In turn, I am usually frustrated because the child does not give up in his quest to make me understand him! So, when he sighs "Sheesh!", it lightens my mood as I remember who exactly I am talking to.
"last-er-day" = yesterday
"Mom, why did Jesus die on the cross?"
"He died on the cross for our sins and so we can be with him in Heaven someday."
"You mean, California?"
(trying to hold back laughter) "No Jackson, Heaven. It's even better than California!"
