Official Potty Training

We have now officially entered the world of potty-training. Actually, we started last weekend with bringing out the Elmo panties that Lily has long awaited to wear. We only had 3 accidents the first day and she didn't have any the second day! We were shocked! All week, no accidents at daycare and only a couple at home in the evening.
It has been a dream compared to the nightmare I had envisioned in my head of many messy underpants. Maybe this is only the beginning and I could be jinxing myself by even singing praises at this point! Who knows! But Justin and I are thrilled that Lily is "getting it"!

Funny story along this topic that I wanted to share:
Last night, I got home from work and Justin had literally just taken Lily to the potty within 30 minutes of me coming home. Justin and I were talking in the kitchen and Lily was playing in the front room. I realized that Lily had tried to crawl in one of the cubbies of our entertainment center and said "Uh-oh..Mommy, I pottied in my pants!" I proceeded to get her into the bathroom, when frustrated Justin was asking Lily..."you JUST went potty, why didn't you go to the big potty?!" He could BARELY finish his sentence when, no joke, Lily threw up her "talk to the hand" and said "It's OK Daddy" as she toddled off to the bathroom with me to get cleaned up. Needless to say, we had to hide our heads in laughter since this was such a true statement! "Accidents happen and it's OK!"...according to the Elmo Potty Time video.

Thank you Lily for the reminder that your Mommy & Daddy need to lighten up every once in a while!

"One-a-day"

Check out this video of our 2-year-old reading. I love how at the beginning of every page she says "One-a-day". I could listen to this all day.

Church

Lily loves going to church. Usually, on Sunday mornings that is all she can talk about..."I go to church"....
Last Sunday on our way to church, we had a funny conversation with Lily. Just to give you some insight, we call her daycare "school" because truly, that is what it is.

Here's the conversation:
Dad- "Are you excited to go to church, Lily?"
Lily- "Yeah!"
Mom- "Are you excited to go to Sunday School, Lily?" (thinking I would teach her a new term)
Lily- "No...Mommy, you go to school, I go to church!"

Cracked us both up. Hilarious that she was thinking we were taking her to daycare on a Sunday! :)
