"I duck!"

Something has just "clicked" within the past few weeks and Jackson is now, almost daily, saying new words!
He started with "moon" and "yight" (light) when we were in California visiting (post still to come), and has been trying some two-word phrases.  One of those being "I duck!" (I'm stuck!)

The other day, he woke up from his nap and was fussing a bit in his crib.  Thinking he just needed a few moments to wake up, I let him fuss for a couple of minutes before I went in.  When I looked in the door, I realized his foot was stuck in between the slats in his crib!  So I asked him, "are you stuck?"  Now, he loves that phrase!  A couple of nights ago, he sandwiched himself in between the chair and ottoman and kept saying "I duck! I duck!"  He loves being the center of attention, so becoming "stuck" has now become a game.  So fun to see his language developing.

Preschool Graduation!

On May 24th, our Lily graduated from Preschool!!  She is more than ready to start Kindergarten in the Fall and is looking forward to being in "big school" with the "big kids".
We enjoyed a nice ceremony complete with many songs and watching Lily recite her ABC's in sign language.
We are so proud of you, Lily!  On to Kindergarten!

Last Preschool Field Trip

On May 17th, (I know..I'm behind on blogging!), Lily went on her last Preschool field trip to Deanna Rose Farmstead.  She had a great time with her friend, Chloe.  We are thankful both girls will be attending the same elementary school so their friendship can continue on.
Enjoy some pictures from her fun day:

chasing the baby goats
pretty flower girls!
and flower boy Jackson, too :)
Jackson had a blast hanging with the big girls!
pumping water from the well
petting a baby calf
jungle gym time for Jackson!

AWANA Awards Night!

Lily officially graduated in May from being an AWANA Cubbie to a Spark!  She is excited to move up to the next level as a Kindergartener in the Fall.
We are so proud of all you, Lily!  We have enjoyed watching your knowledge and love for the Lord grow this past year.  Looking forward to AWANA again in September!
