It's so hard to believe we have a child in the double-digits! Lily has grown up to be such a sweet, kind-hearted, generous, and responsible young lady. She takes initiative and is a great leader among her peers and her little brother. We are so proud of you, Lily!
For her birthday, she just wanted some school friends over for an "almost" slumber party. I have never been big on the slumber party idea, and honestly, Lily is our "early to bed, early to rise" child so I don't think she would survive well. So, we agreed on having her friends come over in their jammies for pizza, design some fun pillowcases, play some party games, do makeovers, and have some treats. Then, they all went home! Haha. In fact, Lily commented after they all left that she was so tired and was thankful we didn't do a sleepover. So, all of us got a good night's sleep- WIN!
She loved having this special time with her girlfriends to just be tweens together. And, I literally sat back and read a book while they hung out. It was so weird having a house full of girls who entertained themselves and didn't need a party planner...until they needed help with the treats, that is :).
Here are some highlights of their night:
